    Quake 3 demomaps

    Hi,

I use q3 alot for a quick benchmark, but now that my poor comp has started behaving properly, it was time to update it and head online. After I updated q3 with the patch, the demos disappeared. Anyone know where they went or where I can get more to use for benchmarking?

    Thanks

A little off topic but....exactly how do I run the benchmarks to test my FPS like I always see in reviews of video cards and such. Thanks.

    Hey Quicksilver,

Pull down the console with the '~' key, and type timedemo 1
Then close the console, and go run one of the demos from the q3 main menu. After it's done, hit the console again to see your framerate. I think you can start the demo from the console too if you know the demo name.

Try to download the quake 3 demos files again.
