Can this memory theory stand?
Im sure im not the first one to think of this. You know how ddr isnt new just updated an old technology. Could the same thing that was done to sdram to make it DDR be applied to rambus? DDRRDRAM uhh has a nice ring to it dont ya think. im not a real bug fan of rdram anyway but ddr rdram would raise some heads im sure. what do ya think???

That would be something, although I haven't actually seen a remarkable increase in performance from SD to DDR. Benchmarks yes, real world performance no. I think before RAM becomes faster, maybe things should be made to get the maximum amount of speed out of what we have got. Remember GT on the PSX - it was massive and used almost all the power of the platform - name me a game / application that does that on a PC (i.e. RAM, hdd...not graphics card / CPU)
