bad 3dmark2001 scores

Hi, i got a GeForce 2 MX400, and i usually get about 2,700 on 3dmark2001 and i think this is ok.
But now i am getting about 750 and my games aren't running very well, i have tried overclocking with a few programs and may have some values changed, what i wanted to know is that if i format, will my video card values be reset?

I would suggest that any software you use to overclock your card will be removed when you re-install.
Having said that you should notice a considerable increase in performance. Couple of things to do in the meantime however - Defrag HDD, increased my score by 400 (I had done some tweaking since btw)

Had to reduce overclock of geforce 3cause of artefacts.
Whats the highest anyone has got on geforce3?(stable)

Had standard cooling on 1 ghz oc to 1.33 but started overheating to 48-50 degrees

Have dragon orb 3 (big heavy copper mother)
Manages 37-40 degrees now 42 whenunder load


Computer manages max payne with every setting on full whack,anisotropic filtering, 32 bit textures/colour depth, can run at 1280x1024 but stutters a bit. love kung fumod.
