    3 CDRoms?

I have had my system up for a few weeks not with few problems but it works great for the most part until yesterday.

I went to installed a program from my cd-rom - main drive is a Toshiba DVD and slave drive it a HP 8200i CDRW Drive. I put the disc in the dvd drive and since I autorun turned off I went to explorer and found 3 cd roms? ?

    D: should be my DVD
    E: should be my CDRW

    F: shoud not exist

now the DVD doesn't work or recongnize my disc on either D or F. It takes the disc and I can't ever see the contents of the disc. But if i put it in my E: it works fine.

I have tried deleting both cdroms in device manager but when I reboot it still shows the F: drive?? before I reinstall the other drives. But it still won't let D: work.

If I go to disk management I doesn't show a F: mapped to any cd-rom or disk drive.

    I'm confused?

Try unplugging the drives then go into windows and see if all the drives dissapear. It sounds like it's just windows being windows.
