    CDR 011 : NOT READY READING THE DRIVE E

    I need a quick help on this problem. I would appreciate for the assistance in advance.
    Here is the problem I have . After reformating my hard disk and created the partition with FDISK , I started the computer with the CDROM support in order to install the operating system .Then I got in to the command prompot booting from floppy.
    A:> then I switch in to D:> inorder to install the operating system in to the hard disk C . Then I got the following problem.
    CDR011: NOT READY READING DRIVE E.
    ABORT, RETRY. FAILURE?
    So I would appreciate If any one can help me to solve this problem.

    i think your supposed to format the harddive after you fdisk,
    at the a prompt try typing setup

    Cavill is right.

    First fdisk, then format. Restart, using your win boot disk. It will also load tools to a virtual drive (usually d which pushes your other drives to the next drive letter.

    Example--If your cdrom was d: drive, it will be e: drive. So, at the a:\ prompt, you would type e:\setup.
