    Cant delete the folder

    hi guys,

    Could someone help me or inform any utilities to delete folder in W2k.

    I dont know why i cant delete the folder named B74 in my C:\directory. But i can delete other folders.

    Any help please.

    You may not have authority to delete the folder.
    Make sure you're logged in as Admin.

    thanks your reply.

    i logged on as admin. as i posted previously, i can delete others except fiolder : B74 and this folder is not shared.

    any other suggestion?

    Try booting from a Win98 floppy and delete it in DOS........

    can you delete files in the folder? i saw this problem on one of my old machines.. i deleted all the files in the folder then it finally allowed me to delete the folder itself.. really weird

    What kind of message are you getting when you try to delete this folder? Are you getting the message that it's in use by a program? You can press CTRL+ALT+DEL and see if any files in that folder is running by looking in "Processes". If a file from that directory is running, try ending the process by selecting the file and clicking in the "End Task" button...


    If it comes to the worst and if you are running Windows 2000 on FAT32, not NTFS, you can boot using a Windows 98 Boot disk and typing the following at the DOS Prompt:


    Del C:\B74
