how much electricity?

I know this sounds cheap, so forgive me. I plan bringing up a couple of boxes in my house to run full time (firewall, mail, and web server). With that being said, will my electricity bill rise a lot?

depends on the PSU's I guess. You are going to be running something full time, I guess they are older slower machines so won't use as much electricity - just don't switch the monitors on often.
Try smoothwall - it runs happily on a 486 and is remote configured, hence all you need is a old box no keyboard, mouse or monitor....
