Have some questions about selling on ebay

I know this probbalyy belongs in one of the selling areas but i thought i would get more responses here. move if you want

I was thinking of ways to earn money to save up for a lap top and i came up with a pretty good idea which i don't know why i didn't think of before espically its has been going on for a while. i was thinking about buying all the compnents online building the computer and selling it on ebay. I was wondering what i should be concerned about if i do this. What are some things i should consider when doing this?? i just want to earn the cash i put into the comp and alittle extra to save up. and if it works out then i'll keep doing it.

any other feedback or remarks would be greatly appericated.

I tis possible to make money on ebay but it is a bit of luck as to who is looking and what their knowledge is. I saw a PIII 800 sold for $405 two weeks ago when it was retailing on PW for $285. It was "guaranteed" at 980 but...

    Good luck

GroundZero3...I started building my own computers that way because I was tired of my wife paying the big bucks to someone else. However, I just bought a nice small AMD 500 unit off of ebay for$235...much less than I could have done myself. My wife and I are ebayers since the beginning and it seems that the only way to really make money is by a next to nothing investment, a rare or choice item( with a high reserve) or like daveleau said the right person is looking. An example...my father-in-law sold a fine NIB Rubik`s Cube from the `70s for $400. He put an identical one on a week later and couldn`t get $50 for it. When my wife and I stick with it we pull in an extra $300 or so a month.Look at the system category under computers and see what`s selling and for how much and you`ll get an idea of what might work. Good Luck.
