    GF2 Vs GF3

    I currently have:

    Asus CUV266
    Celeron 850 @ 1147 (137Mhz bus)
    1.5GB DDR Ram @ 274Mhz
    Geforce 2 Ti @ 280/464

    3Dmark 2001
    ~3800

What kind of scores would I have if I had a GF3 Ti 500? Is the card much better?

    Hmmmmm.....

Although i cannot guess due to the proceesor being a celly (i have one to), I would guess 6-7 thousand, AT LEAST. The ti500 is an incredible card and has some very nice features. Even the ti200, which is being overclocked to memory speeds of the 500... would give you score in the mid 5000 area if not 6500.

It is pretty much a guessing game.

I would say around 6200ish, now if you had a a P4 or T-bird/XP Cpu, depending on everything else I wouls say in 7000/7600ish

    Heres my setup:

    Athlon XP 1600+ (266mhz FSB)
    256mb DDR ram
    KT266-A DDR Mobo
    GeForce 3 Ti 200 Oced to 225/500 (100% Stable)
    Latest Drivers

    At default (1024x768, 32bit)

    I get between 7000 and 7200 marks

    Well,

I seriously doubt that you would get around 6K, but 5200 to 5500 should be achievable.

My score in 3DMark2001 @ default was 6900 with the 22.80 drivers, the 23.11 don't seem to work for me.

I can clock up my XP1800+ to 1.73Ghz with just fsb altering, but have yet to test it.

My Ti200 will do 235/490 rock stable, almost Ti500 speed that is.

    Hmmmm...

A review i read earlier today had the ge-force 3ti200 pushing 6700-6900. It was overclocked and had after-market ram sinks running at 220/540. But still a great score for the money.
