Geforce 2 ==> Quatro 2 - whats that all about??

Ive heard its possible to convert all Geforce 2 based cards into a quatro 2 card, which is a professional graphics card (so i hear)...now are there any advantages to me as a gamer in doing this, and if so - can someone please explain how its done without a lot of comlicated maths, diagrams and all that malarkey...
    Thanks Guys

Quadro cards are aimed to professional OpenGL market (3DSMax, Maya, etc), games won't be boosted. More then this, benchmarks even slightly decreased on Quadro vs "normal" GeForce cards.

I noticed on nVidia's site that there are new 64-bit drivers available for Quadro cards. Supposedly the first 64-bit drivers available for any cards... or something. Anyone know anything about these?

If you search Sysopt for "Quadro" you should find posts for it as well as links to sites on how to mod your Gforce card

btw. there is a prog called SoftQuadro - it patches
nVidia detonator drivers and unlocks quadro specific
features on non-quadro boards. basically it turns
your geforce into quadro without any resistor tricks
    and BIOS mods...

u can get it from http://guru3d.com/rivatuner/softquadro/

    all the best,

UWConvoy - these drivers are for 64-bit version of WinXP, for Intel Itanium processor (or any 64-bit x86 processor out there ).

I was the first here on SysOpt to post the info about SoftQuadro, from the benches it can be seen that it makes your cards almost similar to "real" Quadro, but again, but games don't enjoy any perfromance boost, only proffesional 3D apps do.

    Best Regards ...
