Low cost (cheap :D ) video cards
I just lost my second Gforce2 MX400 card. One was an MSI the other an eVGA brand. I'm look for a low cost replacement, maybe an ATI? I'm sort of getting out of the gaming arena, so what I'm look for is a high quality, good performing (not bleeding edge) replacement. I've had good luck in the past with ATI boards (Rage Fury and a Rage Fury MAXX..which I'm still using in my back-up computer). Haven't kept up much with ATI's products lately.. I've seen Radeon VEs, LEs, 7500s, 8500s, etc, but don't know much about them. What I want is a sub $100 board with 64 Mb memory (prob SDRAM at that price). Any recommendations, suggestions..
Thanks

hi
the ati radeons are still very good cards
i dont know exactly where to buy from in america but reading the forums i see that a lot of people go to http://www.pricewatch.com/ to see the cheapest places to buy the card
a good place to buy apparently is http://www.newegg.com/app/manufactory.asp?catalog=48
i know its a little over your budget but i would go for the radeon 7500 if you can
the le and ve i think are both 32 mb card you`ll need to check
i upgraded from a geforce 2mx to a radeon vivo and its not quite as fast in 3d mark but the detail is far superior
hope this helps
i shouldnt have looked at the prices for hardware in america
