Host CLK vs. By SPD
I hope someone can help with an answer: what exactly is the difference between Host CLK and By SPD in Dram settings? In SANDRA Cpu test HostCLK is ALU 3821/FPU 1870, whereas By SPD is ALU 3824/FPU 1922, Multimedia test host clk 7734/8558, by spd 7921/8802, Memory test both hover around Alu 580/Fpu 710... I have set 6,2,2 with 4-bank interleaving (huge *numerical* performance boost). Somebody got a clue?

You can usually configure manually many RAM parameters without using "By SPD" option, such as CAS and RAS delay. When setting "by SPD" option, you telling BIOS to use values stored on memory chips. Generally, RAM has no problem working beyond specs, so it's better to try for yourself, like you did

Thanx for your reply. Also strange, maybe not entirely surprising, was an oc I undertook from default-multiplier 10.5x133fsb (DDR) to 11x140 (on a 1400 T-Bird, 512mbDDRram, ShuttleAK31v2.0/VIA chipset) with no real, worthwhile improvement. Ah well, the trials and tribulations... checketh thou later.
