That's a really bad score! Even my GeForce2 MX with Athlon 700 gets around 5000 on 1024x768x16. Try update drivers? for your graphics card and your motherboard?? VIA 4-in-1 Drivers?

With scores like that, cosidering the hardware you have,I would have to say if it were me I would try to reinstall the whole system ground up.Reformat/os install/mobo drivers(updated)/video card drivers(update)and last soundcard/modem and etc. in that order.I had a via board once and if the mobo drivers were not installed before the others the whole system would run like ****.But it only makes sense since the chipset must first be running properly. Some Via updates would do the same thing so check around for similar systems as yours and see what driver version they are haveing luck with.Knowledge has many paths-explore them, with the internet it has become only a finger tip away.Good luck&hope I helped some.

    Performance drop off

    I ran 3dm 2000 in Jan '01 and acheived a v. satistfactory 5342.
The other day I was playing Unreal with all enhancements turned up (never been a problem before) and it was totally unplayable.

I then ran 3dm 2000 again (12/01) and acheived the ****-poor mark of 1816.

I have not added/changed any h/ware and I reinstalled the Nvidia driver for the GC - .649. All to no avail.

    The card is not clocked.

Is the card partially broken or chocking back somehow? All suggestions would be welcome.

    Highlander

It's got to be your drivers. Go www.nvidia.com and dowload the latest 23.11 drivers and see if that helps. Also, get stuck in to your mobo bios( and manual) and check the settings, I was foolishishly running at 100mhz FSB because I did not read the mobo manual and then with the press of key I was up to 133mhz right away. CPu speed went from 1.1ghz to 1.4ghz instantaneously.

    DOH!!!!

Changed my mind on the last post. 23.11 sucks for my G"mx400 64mb. Got a whooping 6296 by going back to 22.50 drivers at default benchmark.
