    Random Lockup

I have a newly built system and I am getting random lockup in Windows 98.

    My system consists of:
    AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.4Ghz 266
    MSI K7T Turbo Limited mobo
    300W p/s with case
3 case fans, 2 in the rear (right over the processor), 1 in front
    6000RPM h/s fan assembly
Average 55 degrees Celcius cpu temp
Average 27 degrees Celcius system temp
    3Dfx Voodoo3 2000 graphics card
20Gb 7200 RPM Western digital disk drive
    HP 4x4x24 r/rw cdrom
    Linksys 10/100 nic card
    generic 56K modem
    soundblaster pci sound card

I've applied latests VIA updates and award bios updates from MSI. I'm pretty sure I don't have heat problems.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could try checking for IRQ sharing this was causing loads of problems with a simalar setup i once did. By the way is the Voodoo 3 2000 a PCI or AGP if its PCI check in the bios to make sure primary vga is set to PCI ive found this can cause problems too.
