When trying to test AGP texture under DirectX 8 I obtain the following:

You Don't have the drivers which for your AGP card. I mean your driver donnot supports DX 8

ErrOR on DX
THAN YOU .
I'll read that article later.
I hope you are right about the drivers.I've posted a problem under no AGP on New ALL IN WONDER RADEON some days AGO.
I was not able to get AGP memory to register.
Now I have it but IT will not run,....... I also thought About the drivers been the reason becuse I installed the First ATI drivers which are meant for X7 but I'm still running DX8.
Can you uninstall DX8???
-
Yes you can
Try a search on google for "directX uninstaller"
There are several freeware programs for uninstalling DX8
Sorry, don't have a straight link
Hope this helps

About that link...,
Thanks again for that tip,for sure Mcrosoft is the place to dig for this kind of info now..
I was taking a look at that article and I don't think it applies to this problem,I did not find any rellation in the error codes.
I belive that the error code I get is correctly reported and I suspect that is about using DX7 drives with DX8, but again I'm guessing ,I could be wrong ....What the F$%^ do I know??
I'll kepp you posted Thanks.
