    Ti 500 Or Ti200

Im looking for a really sweet card and i dunno weather to go for the GF3 Ti 200 because its alot cheaper than the Ti 500, or should i be saving up some bucks to get the Ti 500, i want one soon though cause im using a relic for a card. I know the Ti500 is insanely incredeble.... ive read the reviews.... but i dont think it nesscary to spend that much on one. basically i think im gonna end up with a ti 200 cause the ti 500 is overpriced, but if there is something i dont know PLEASe tell me. thnx all.
    im running:

    P3 800
    256 ram
    dvd rom
    Creative CD writer
    Logitech Optical mouse
    standard everything else.....

Why not a regular GeForce3. Its faster than a TI200 and barely slower than a TI500.
Or you can get a GeForce2 Ultra card. Its faster than a TI200.

Yeah, but you just have to get a tweaker util and then OC the card. The Ti's should be able to cope with some OCing and then the Ti200 will easily thrash the GF2Ultra. I'd personally get the Ti200 for that setup. I think Nvidia is trying to completely replace the "original" cards (GF2 and 3) with the new Ti's so it might get more and more difficult to find them.

why don't u go to newegg.com n get the gainward geforce 2 ti/500 xp. that is basically a geforce 2 ultra with 250 mhz core, but the card supports 500 mhz memory overclock, that is why they say /500! and it is only $140!

i'm not gonna blow u off, but considering how much a voodoo 5 still cost, u can get a geforce 2 gts 32 mb ddr at newegg for $65! u can't find a voodoo 5 cheaper than that. although his special gts is clocked at 175 mhz core, u can get it back to 200 prolly, or close enough, n it is still faster than the voodoo 5.

I was talking about the cards being at normal clock speed. Not OCing them.
If you want to OC the cards the GF2 Ultra will stomp on all except the GF3 Ti500. This is with OCing all the cards. Plus it depends on the apps and games, screen size, color depth, refresh rates.

And to add another note. I will be the first one to say that an OCd GF2 Ultra will stomp my OCd GF3.

read my post on the gainward geforce ti 2/500 xp. it should be faster than a ultra n 50 bucks cheaper

    specs
    geforce 2 ultra - 250 mhz core 460 mhz mem - $160 oem to $200 retail tv + dvi
geforce 2 ti - 250 mhz core 400 mhz mem $112 oem to $150 packed retail
gainward geforce 2 ti/500 xp -250 mhz core, guarantee official support for 500 mhz memory when set to enhanced mode- $139 retail with vivo!
but it is all sold out now at newegg, i must have been braggin about this product too much, n this card is also the best looking designed card i have ever seen too!

Looks like the GeForce2 Ti500 is pretty much the GeForce2 Ultra.
As the GeForce3 Ti is to the GeForce3.

Best bang for the buck would be a Ti500 series card though.

no objection here. I just got my geforce2 Ti/500 xp today so far it seems like a smokin card. The only down side to this card is I am gonna have to spend more money now to put a window in the side of my case just to show off this beauty I bought the card online and got it for 129.00 plus 7 dollars shipping.seems like a deal to me.
