    scandisk will not operate

    Help!! Scandisk will no longer run. Message says that a program is writing to the disk and scandisk has restarted 10 times.
    What am I doing wrong? How do I find out which program is still writing to the disk.

    Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and colse all programs running in background or run scandisk in safe mode.

    Also helps to disable your screensaver in the future as that can intefere with scandisk as well.

    There is also a program called "Process Viewer" that looks similar to ctrl+alt+del task manager, but it shows alot that doesn't show on task manager and lots of other neat stuff

    i can email you the program if u want to check it out
