    Low 3Dmark scores!?

    System 1:

    P4 1.7 @ 1.9
    S32000 video card
    512MB 800Mhz Ram

    ~1100

    System 2:

    Celeron 466 @ 525Mhz
    Voodoo 3 2000 @ 150Mhz
    256MB PC133 Ram

    ~ 629

BTW, I just bought a GForce MX400 w/ 64MB of SDRAM, is there a noticable difference going to the GForce Ti with 400Mhz DDR Ram?

Quite low scores, even my Athlon 700/256mb ram/GeForce2 MX @ 200/200 scores about 2500... You should be able to notice a huge difference from going from a GeForce2 MX400 to a GeForce2 Ti, especially in high resolutions and memory and texture intensive games..

Well, I just installed a Geforce MX400 in system 2 and jumped up to about 1200, still not quite what I'm looking for. I have a Celeron 800 and another 256MB of ram on the way though...

BTW, How big is the difference in the Geforce 2 Ti version? the clockspeed is an extra 50Mhz and the Ram runs at 400Mhz instead of 166.

Your scores should be higher on your first system just do to your clock speed. Also, the celeron you are getting can be o/c'ed alot. Change the jumper setting son your motherboard and it will end up right around 1.1gig.

Your scores should be hgher with our new video card to. Look on the sysopt agp settings here . I had some improper settings on that same card and i was getting scores very close to 1200. After correcting the settings i am getting 2000-2200.

    My current sytem:
    Celeron II 700 o/c @ 1076 (10.5x102)
    512 pc-133
    Elsa Ge-Force 2 MX400 (32)
    20 ata100 7200rpm
    Via apollo pro 133 mobo

Well, I exchanged my MX400 for a GF Ti today. I must say it is a decent improvement. I didn't think the higher Ram speed made a difference. I'm up to about 1500 now, I'll check my bios settings and make sure everything looks good.

    A few questions though...

    1) How far can you usually overclock the Ti (already at 250Mhz)?

    2) What is a good overclocking program/where do I get it?

    3) What kind of score can I expect from the new processor and another 256MB RAM?
