Page Background
I am trying to create a webpage useing Frontpage and I want to use a drawing I've created as a background. The drawing is 1024x768 pixels.
Problem is, when I preview the page on my Screen (1024x768) everything is fine but when it is previewed at 800x600 then the drawing is not Centered all logos, titles ect are off to one side.
If I resize the Picture to 800x600 then It doesn't center at 1024x768 it tiles.
Is there anyway I can get the background to appear central all the time and stop tileing ????????????????????????????.
Any help would be appreciated as I've spent Hours on this problem. - Thanks

Well the problem is that your image is 1024x768, so when you go to 800x600 the full image cannot be shown.
You should resize the image to 640x480, this will work best for all screen sizes. 800x600 might work as well..
I can't help but to wonder how large your image is. Hopefully it's under 50k.

Presumably the hours you have spent on this haven't included any time surfing over to www.w3c.org and looking at the html/css defs?
If you can't do something in FrontPage...do it yourself!

O.K, Tried to resize the image to 640 x 480 but it just tiles when viewed at 1024x768. checked out http://www.w3c.org/ and downloaded a few pieces of software but nothing seems to work.
I've Never tried designing a web site before but what I want seems so simple - am I being stupid or what ???.
I just want the background image to cover the whole screen and keep the logo in the center no matter what resolution it is being viewed at.
There must be a way ?.

One way to control the size of your background image is to place the whole thing in a one-cell table with no borders, zero cell padding and zero cell spacing. Set the table width to 100%. That way, no matter what the user's screen resolution is set to, your image will be centered as you want it.
Also, just a word of advice, get away from FrontPage and switch to Dreamweaver if you like wysiwyg.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes and post a link.
Best regards.
