    Crappy 3dmark2001 scores with a Radeon 8500 LE no oc

    i used to get almost 9000 pts with my radeon and i think that that is even ****

    im getting around 6000 pts now and i havnt a clue why

    i just recently formatted my hard drive and tweaked the radeon like it was before

    my system is a

    P4 1.7ghz
    128megs 800mhz rdram
    ati radeon 8500 le 128 meg
    400mhz FSB

    vid cpu @ 250 and ram @ 250 mhz



    wuts the deal with this or is it fine?

    Maybe you should just try different drivers.
    ATi dont make good drivers, But their cards are great.

    yeah I went to their site www.ATI.com and downloaded their drivers, it was crappy drivers imo. I use to run a 8500 LE too, and i score around 8000 - 9000 (1024x768x32) with my 1.8A setup overclocked to 2.3 with Turbo Ram on, and everything tweaked up.

    hay thats real nice score for the 8500!!

    WAs it the 64mb or the 128 mb??

    the new radeon catalyst drivers are now available for download at www.rage3d.com.

    official ATi drivers are good drivers but they dont capitalise on them and make them better like nvidia sdo. So head over to rage3d.com you'll find the best there
