New to SysOpt.com
Hello all,
I've spent a few days (more than a few hours!) reading through these threads, and I can definately say WOW!! Great information, great discussions, super Knowledgeable people!
I've got a million questions - but I'll just ask one, for now - what is the reason for flashing the BIOS?
Thanks to my new self-described computer geek of a friend (hehe), i've got some idea, but would LOVE to hear more about it!
Thanks to all!

Welcome to SysOpt!
The Basic Input/Output System provides the roadmap to all computer operations for each of the various subsystems. Most motherboard vendors release BIOS updates on a regular basis, as each new version typically offers improved performance, stability, or compatibility.
