    Please help WIN2K doesn't work...

    Greetings,

I have installed WIN2K pro on one machine sucessfully. I then install the same HD with WIN2K on another machine. Unfortunately, it doesn't boot. It boot to the black screen with white bargraph on the bottom then reboot itself endlessly. Does anyone have an idea why?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

The hardware is different, unless that other machine is absolutely identical it will give you grief, NT base doesn't like mobo changes.

you will probably have to re-install to correct the changes in hardware.

if you are worried because the other machine has no CD, copy /i386 dir to the HD, then just systemize the hd, move it over change to the dir and type winnt.

this install will take a bit longer because of no smartdrive, but it works on any machine.
