    defrag

    when I decided to defrag my HD I ran it once and it would reach 10% then sit on that for a bit and reset. This is because something on my HD has been accesed while the process is taking place, right? Should I try running defrag in safe mode will that make a difference?

    That should work. Make sure you turn off your screensaver and virus software. Make sure nothing is running in the background before you run it and leave it alone for awhile!

    Or you can also press CTRL+ALT+DEL and kill all unecessary processes...

    You know my sisters computer has the same problem. I turned everything off(screensavers...ect). still had the same thing happen. Is ther anything else that can make the computer do that?
    That burning smells not my computer... IS IT??

    yeah the problem also happens to some of my friends computers aswell, I think safe mode would most likely work though
