IPcofig in XP
A guy called the help center here at ga southern, and he had a network problem. Well, I asked him for his ethernet address to check it in the dhcp database, and he didn't know how to get it. Well, niether did I since he has XP.
We don't support XP at the help desk, and probably won't. We only support Me for the few students whom have problems with their internet on campus, so XP isn't looking good until we get it to fac/staff computers (yeah, keep waiting/hoping for that one).
What do I tell this guy when he calls back tomorrow? None of the analysts or technicians experimented with XP (most are Mac or Linux users), so none of them know.
Thanks

if it's Xp, then tell him to goto:
Start->Settings->Control Panel.......
and open Network Connections.
That's where all Network stuff is.....
The details of EACh and every connection can be seen by double clicking on each connections name.
hope this helps
