You should try the Air cond. trick. I had a duct made for the back condensor area (Rectangular going into 6 in. start collar) and I am going to run the duct to outside incorporating a 6in. booster fan. For the front I had a duct made for 2 - 4in lines that I will run into my case. Right now I have a makeshift duct blowing in the side about even with vid card. I picked mine up at Home Depot for $115.00, and the duct fan is 150 cfm and it was about $15.00.
I'm actually waiting on prometeia's to hit australian shelves....
sounds like a good idea, with the air con... i was also thinking about using a solid state car fridge ... it uses peltiers for the cooling right? well, what if you strapped one to the side of your case (and cooled the case with big fans,) you would lower he mbient temp to the temp of a fridge - around 4°C or so.... just gotta buy a fridge...
The problem with that would be the possibility of condensation forming on the sides of the case. With the air conditioner all the condensation gets removed by the coils of the air cond. After running it for about 15 hrs I had about 1 1/2 cups of water in the drain pan. Vegas has very low humidity so it isn't much of a problem, but with higher humidity levels it could definately be an issue. This site has a large variety of tecs, solid state cooling and mini air conditioners. Melcor
Rivatuner @ GURU3D DOT COM is a good one. Man, if you could only scratch together a few bucks for a GF4Ti4200 you'd be flying high. Oh and BTW: Welcome to Sysopt!Good bios optimization guide too
P.S.: I don't intend to insult your Gf2, I used to have one myself
