how much of an increase could i expect if i upgraded my cpu to an xp1600+ ?

From there, it looks as though you would NOT benefit much, but if you have the cash floating around, then why not.

i guess you need to unlock your CPU and then try overclocking it!

It is the AYHJA Thunderbird. Never was locked. I've tried upping the multiplier(default 10.5x133=1400), but it gives too much of a MHz increase without the gain. The only way to go to 158 fsb is by DEcreasing the multiplier from 10.5 to 10. At 10.5 I can't seem to get the fsb much higher than 152... . Btw, most people don't realize what an awesome board the Ak31v2.0 really was when pushed a bit. The only gripe I have is that there is a capacitor right next to the stock hsf on the northbridge so that a Crystal Orb (left over from my GF2Pro megaoverclocking days) will NOT fit, dammit.

I never heard of that game but I heard of 3D Astro Blaster. Is it for the XBox? I got the high school at school on Nuke Duke Em and I got the second highest score on The Grapes of Wrath 2: Gettin' Joady Wit It. Does anybody have some scores on these games?

yeah.. i see what you mean then x51out - although, only having a T-Bird chip will limit your OC.... need one of these new fangle-dangle T-Bred-B chips that people are getting...
