Now to start messing with the timing.

    Athlon XP 1700 +
    A7V266-E optimal bios settings
MSI Geforce 4 ti 4200 64meg --this baby comes at faster default speeds than nvidia reference
    256 ddr sdram 2-2-2-5
    IBM 60GXP 40GB + POS 2GB c-g8 from the old packard hell
    Lite On 12x10x32 cdrw
    Tosiba 16/40 dvd/cdrom
    yada yada yada...

My upgrade from G3ti200 to G4ti4200 resulted in an increase from ~7k to ~9.4k. The cost of doing this was ~$74USD, making this a pretty good price/performance deal.

Yeah I have tried most resolutions and get around the same score each time.

The thing that is giving the good score (for an older computer) is the Geforce 256. This really is a good card for slower computers.

and my Fsb is overclocked to 190x10,
I just pegged my 8500 at 300/300 for a test and it worked fine (stable for many hours of constant running). Could it be a heat issue in your case?

I'm thinking I can run it up to maybe 325 before more exotic cooling will be required (but then I'm running a non-o/clocked P4, so heat is less of an issue).

Uhhh.....hate to break this to you but there's no such thing as a Geforce TNT2 M64. Did you mean to say Nvidia TNT2 M64? I think so. I must say that you get the Most Obvious Bottleneck Award. Congratz.

    13000 WITH AMD
    13165 3D MARK 2001SE

    ABIT AT7 MOBO
    UNLOCKED XP 2200 2109MHZ
8 MAXTOR 20 GIG HD'S IN STRIPING 0 WITH NEW HIGHPOINT CONTROLER
    GAINWARD 4600 GOLDENSAMPLE WATERCOOLED 335/775
    CORSAIR 3200 512 XMS RAM
NEW GOTT REFRIGERATED WATERCOOLER COOLANT TEMP 15 DEGREES F.
    PONDMASTER 500 GPH WATERPUMP

Just v-modded board and now it is time to do the old Konformal coating on the mohterboard and the volt mod on the gainward and then maybe I'll be able to keep up with those [*-deleted word-*] pentiums
(thats what AMD gets for slacking for so long now they have to play catch-up all over)

Witch-talon, what youn doing witha tnt and a an Athlon 1900?

Take the vid card out and run 3d2001 again and you'll get a higher score.

C'mon, you really need to get an 8500 or G4 with that amount of power, sell the dog, wife children and get a decent card.

PS I think I might have a good deal on selling the missus and then i can get rid of my almost as bad G2mx400 with 3075 3d marks.
