To date, few record labels have disclosed which of their CDs are copy protected, saying they don't want to bias consumer response. Macrovision says its technology has been released on more than 100,000 discs in the U.S. market but will not say which ones
Hmmm... This does somewhat anger me.. I want the right to be able to backup my CD's.. I hope the companies see a HUGE decrease in sales.. They are going to far with this...

If I buy a music CD that I can't play in my CD drive, I'll just take it back & say it's broken. Well, it won't play will it? My only CD player is in my PC!

What I don't understand is why they bother to waste the money to make a 'uncopyable' cd when they **** well know someone will have it cracked or copyable some way.. or some how withing 24hrs of the **** thing being released to public anyway.. in the end they probally spend as much trying to prevent the people from copying it as they actually were losing in the first place

To bad they waste so much time and money trying to stop people from backing up what they rightfully own. They try to blame it on piracy, but thats BS. Piracy has always been around, and like what was mentioned before, there hasnt been a lock made that hasnt been picked, DVD, SONY PLAYSTATION 1 & 2, DREAMCAST... EVERYTHING!! If we want it bad enough we will get it! ****, we dont have to want it. We just have to get bored one night, sitting in front of our computer.... And the rest is history.
That burning smells not my computer... IS IT??
