Does anyone know why executable programs are never saved as ASCII files...

ASCII files: easy for you to read
EXE files: easy for the CPU to read.

    It's called 'machine language'.

    text, is well, text.

    you're question should be:

"why aren't ASCII files saved as executable programs"

how does this offer any details, wait...

    without going into any detail...
or, are you missing the details?

    oh my bad:

ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) is the most common format for text files.

what is "machine language"? sfb. It's all in the details...

Wait..., wait..., let me guess, is it:

'what one machine would use to talk to another machine'
