Info RE Geforce 256
Dear sir/madam,
I have just got a Creative Labs Annihilator Geforce 256 gfx card which I won on ebay and I am hoping you can tell me:-
1. Is this card going to be noticably faster in games than my existing card, Creative TNT2-Ultra?
2. If the answer to the above is yes, will it be with most games or with specific types?
3. What games makes use of the enhanced graphical abilities of this card that cards like my TNT2-u don't have?
Help appreciated.
Thanks

YEs it will be faster in most appz over a TNT2 ULTRA, especially in appz using multi-texturing. How much performance lead is depending on which card u have, the DDR board will be significantly faster in high-res. The main feature the Geforce has over a TNT2 is it's T&L unit, to see T&L use 3dmark2001, I belive they have a tree benchmark which is the easiest demonstrationg(u can turn T&L on and off and see the diff) the only games I have right now with T&L are operation Flashpoint and Black and White.

You should realise a performance difference in almost all of the applications, but most notably in T&L enabled games and applications. Your increase in speed and performance also relies on your processor speed as well, some of the games that support T&L includes Max Payne, Quake 3, several 3D benchmarks (3DMark 2000/2001, Vulpine GLMark).
