    IE6 (non-beta) available

Well I did not have too much luck with this version and have gone back to 5.0. I would recomend reading some reviews on IE 6 before trying. You can read my little troubles I had Here

I've had IE6 since it was it Beta-testing and the only problem I've had was that sometimes it wouldn't allow cookies. You just have to check what you have your "Privacy" level set at. Other than that, I havent had any real problems with it.

If it's anything like the improvements WinME made over Win98, I'll be at the back of the line!

CNet posted their review of it. The short version: "No big deal. Wait for the inevitable 6.1 upgrade before going through the trouble."

No trouble so far, but did note that it didn't want to allow cookies for Hotmail!

Checked to allow cookies but still see restriction sign in bar below. Their own site.

I like the little pop-up for emails and saves.

No problems so far... and I like to know who's processing cookies that contain information I don't want others obtaining.

I guess I was lucky when I tried the 6.0 beta. I decided to gamble it when I repeatedly had to rebuild 5.5 never did figure out what making a mess of 5.5. But since it was a beta I ended up dropping it because some secure sites didn't recognize it. In the meantime I have tried Netscape 6.1 and it's pretty sweet.

If your Msoe.dll won't load you will probably have to upgrade. Repair wouldn't fix mine. Just be sure to back up your email if you want to keep it. The new version of Outlook Express destroyed all of my old messages and address book.

IE6 seems to run faster, and no problems... yet..!

You still need Xp to get the new icons.

    My 2 pence.

I have been using IE6 beta for a while now and it has been really unstable, i will go to the full version to see if that sorts it but if not then its pack to IE5 for me.

I have to admit, i have been running the IE 6 beta version since it was released and have NEVER had a problem!? Luck maybe...
And i'm not even touching Netscape with someone elses bargepole.. personal preference i suppose.

    Tijiri,

Go to control panel-Add remove programs-select Microsoft Internet and it will ask if you want to restore previous config.
