WinXP pricing announced
That means in about 2 months you will see the Pro full OEM at computer sales for about $100-$130.
Sounds like the exact same prices W2K came out at.
I have to disagree with you on that one, Kirk. I've been running the release canditates of XP and haven't had problem one. Now as for the other 'features' (Passport, and whatever else...), that's another topic.
well I just tried out rc1 for a week or so and from that I figure its worth about 2.99, not 299.00
I've been using RC1 for a couple of weeks and have had no problems what so ever. I installed RC2 and found one very annoying problem though. I do all the programming for my home computer on the weekend and MS did not have activation personnel on duty so I hope when the full version comes out that MS will man the phones on the weekend for activation instead of just Monday threw Friday.
Wait a minute. I paid more for my copy of Win2k than Win ME users did. So why is the XP upgrade more fore Win2k upgrades than Win ME upgrades? Sounds like MS is trying to gouge their corporate customers for more money and the home user gets screwed along with them.
