I was told they(Intel)rarely make mistakes and the few they do make should not be a deterrent to anyone buying Intel. Unfortunately, my experience is contrary to what the AMD haters would like. The 386 errors, the pentium errors, the numerous chipset errors.
Maybe the WINTEL partnership will break up.

Contrary to rumors, Microsoft has stated the the Xbox game console system will ship on November 8th.

Microsoft: Xbox on Track to Ship Nov. 8

``We can say there is absolutely no problem with the design of Intel's motherboard,'' Microsoft spokesman James Bernard said. ``They've been fantastic partners and delivered on everything to date.''

    Yahoo article

Microsoft: No flaw in Xbox motherboard

"There's absolutely no problem with the design of Intel's motherboard," Microsoft spokesman James Bernard said. "We're still on track for a Nov. 8 launch."

    Intel says there's no problem?

    BIG PROBLEMS!!!!

One thing I learned about Intel, when they start saying there's no problem ... expect a delay of 30 - 90 days for launch!!! Then again, they'll launch on schedule and then start the recall process!!!

    Harder

    EXACTLY SHARDER8!!

the MTH recall, the pentium 3 1.13Ghz

the first one alone set intel back 250 million dollars, AS IN QUARTER BILLION and thats just intel, Asus lost even more on returned boards.

the pentium 3 had crappy yields at 1Ghz, and intel had the nerve to go and release even faster chips clocked at 1.13Ghz.... the majority of these (there weren't many that hit public hands, if any at all, but still) were returned for problems similar to those experianced with OVERCLOCKED chips.

you are darn right you should research before buying intel!

however.... the i850 is a very stable chipset i hear, the SSE2 instuctions will be hard for amd to beat when programs are optimized for them.

back to the topic..... well, microsoft windows 95 was released in LATE 1995, originally planned for early/mid,
windows 98 was originally called windows 97, but they took soo long they had to change the name, I wouldn't doubt that they delay yet again. maybe sue intel for screwing up....
wait.... wasn't the board designed by nVidea?
nForce is suppost to be just the PC/AMD version of the XBOX mainboard i thought.
