    Palm is being sued...part II

    ??

I hook up Palm's all day long. Never had one damage a motherboard. Whats that about it taking over the serial port? Why would one have to buy another motherboard? Sounds very strange...perhaps even isolated.

I service laptops and desktops and in the past couple of months I remember repairing two laptops (IBM?) that had a locked serial port and the other a repeat service of a blown system board. One of these systems had a customer equipment profile, which incorporated a Palm cradle system. Hmmm, maybe there is some truth to this issue.
