    Napster to charge $5/month fee

    5 dollar fee??? I don't see where sharing different quality mp3's should be worth 5 bucks. If that is the case I belive that Napster should Make the mp3's to highest quality so that way paying 5 bucks isn't a rip off.

    I wonder how many Mp3's that I have had to delete due to bad recordings etc etc...

    hmmmmm
    Napster=Music
    Morpheus=Music

    Napster=Music -5. bucks
    Morpheus=Music -0. bucks

    Napster=Music -5. bucks + marginal software.
    Morpheus=Music -0. bucks + great software.

    Hmmmm ....
    I think I will go with music, great software, and no charge. Is my reasoning faulty?

    All I know is that I have limited myself to downloading music I already own (on scratchy vinyl though), and now I can get all I want legally for 5$ a month, which is really a non-amount if you have a cable modem or other fast internet connection. I personally will pay 5$ to remain legal.

    They say it's going to be $5.00 now. But how about down the line? Like say 6 months or so. I'm sure we will begin to see an escalation in prices at Napster. I'll stick to www.Kazaa.com for all my file sharings of music AND movies thank you. "Bertelsman and(BMG)music......you and all your corporate goons can stick it where the sun don't shine!!!!!! Laterz!!!!

    With all the free mp3 programs that are out there, why would I want to pay money? I think what Napster started was AWESOME!! But, come on, there are too many ways to get mp3's for free, rather then pay for them!
    Just my 2-cents.

    Well, if the service is restored to what it used to be, I'll gladly pitch in my 5 bucks. Definitely worth it to those with fast connections.

    Screw the RIAA and their illegal price fixing during the 90's. I will never pay for music again.. they ripped me off, now its my turn... The RIAA deserves everything coming to them.

    Well if its as good as napster used to be I would pay for it.

    Reasons why Napster was better then morpheus?

    You can do a search based on the bitrate of the song and see the bitrate of a song before you download.

    And connection speed.

    I find most other trading programs lack in some of the stuff that napster did well.

    Yes, Napster is going to have to really beef up the program, because now a days you can find a new mp3 program like nothing!!

    I personally use Morpheus.
