Will phone companies take over the internet?

Cell Phone companies will take over a portion of the Internet. Do not forget, there are several mediums of the Internet - the communications internet, the data processing internet (the computers medium), and the media internet.

The cell phone industry, or simply the phone industry will take over the Communications internet, leaving the 2 others up for grabs.

Well, I get my cell phone from AT&T, that in my mind is a Bell Co.. Now who owns the wires the other companies will use to connect or take over the Internet? Of course there is satellite, like the cell phone but the information travels from the computers by phone line. There was a company Navstar GPS Internet Connections. They were promising, came out like a lion. I think they are now in the technology boneyard.

Well when you really look at it Bell Co. owns the OC-112 lines and alot of he OC-48 lines. They already do own the internet, they just let others use it.
