hmm....very interesting idea, well it is not anything new, IBM has been working on this idea and trying to make it a reality for sometimed already. A group of IBM scientists had formulated vary believble theory about teleportation, they can even move a single photon particle from A-B, the idea they posted still is hard for me to understand..(guess I need much more schooling to understand that =D), well what they said is u can't go straight from A to B, there is an intermediate step, that info from particle A has to be encoded with someting like C, and send info from A and C to B, (man, I don't think that make sense to anyone, not even to me, but oh well, it is still like sci fi, and in order to teleport an object from A to B, you have to destroy A in the process, so A will not exist anymore, ****, what if they make a mistake while doing that, like B(the final object is missing a ear =O ) well hope they will perfect this technology, as of today, I think we still can't determine the exact location of any particular atom, so there is certain uncertainty in the process, so the possibility of the missing a ear is very possible =P. well be teleported to some place few thousands miles away is sure better than taking airplane, but I think(understanding from what I read) that one still need a receiving devices on the B side of the transfer, so no chance of meeting green Alien yet, at least not to regular folks like us, we need some NASA mission to send a reciever to the planet before we go there. enought said, I hope they can make that happen before I die, according to IBM that there will be at least 100 years before something like that happen, keep working, we have faith in u IBM.
If you read this far, thank you very much, you can find more informatino at the IBM site. www.ibm.com
and search for teleportation.

this is not teleporting, it's merely sending a digital representation of your self cool, but nothing compared to real teleporing (if that can be done).
