MS settles with New Mexico
It's just too bad that any company (including MS) would have to waste resources in this type of litigation instead of product devolopement, but MS has brought this on itself with monopolistic marketing strategies.
I do not believe that the issue has ever really been what MS includes in their OS or not. The focus of these litigations and the DOJ (especially its fixation on Netscape) seems to miss the mark. MS should have the right to include anything in their OS, but no company should have the right to force a product upon a consumer or to forbid inclusion of competitive products by resellers.
