Yes, you are being limited by that Vid card. I was playing at a friends house with his 1 gig Athlon & KT7 mobo (mobo shouldn't make a whole lot of difference here) and we tested both a ATI Radeon 64 meg DDR (about $190 or less now) and we had a Hercules 3D Prophet II Ultra (about $380 or less)

With no real adjustments and no overclocking (just drop card in and test) the Radeon scored approx 3800-3900 and the Prophet II ultra scored 4050-4100

The test was run at the default settings and each card was tested several times. Hence the scoring range for each card. Also each card could probably have benefited (sp?) from overclocking.

    Hope this helps.

Oh, and if anyone is interested in knowing this,,, The Prophet II is mine and I use it on my PIII 500 system. In that system it scores about 2100-2200 and with my old 16 meg Voodoo3 3000 agp it scored 1050-1100.

Aaron, thanks, I was beginning to have worries about my 3D Prophet II Ultra, which is scoring 2200 on 3D Mark2001 on the default resolution, 32bit colour test.

Mine is a dual P3-500 O/C'd to 560Mhz, the GF2ultra is not OC'd at all... dual shouldn't make a difference to that test, even though it does sometimes in games, etc, but not normally a lot of difference

    cheers again,
    LostBok
