    Good 3D Mark 2001 score?

    I got 1772 3D Marks with

    Gigabyte GA-7DX 1.2 Axia Athlon
    256 mb 2100 DDR Ram
    23 mb Geforce II Deluxe
    Win2K Pro SP2

    Any good?

Not bad, but I think it should be better. I use a Dual P3 @940Mhz 1GB RAM PC133 with a Suma Platinum SE Geforce 2 GTS (DX8 / Detonator V.12.0) on Win2k and get 29xx on 3Dmark2001. Although it's a dual system I did the test on, the benchmark score will not benefit from the 2nd processor since 3DMark only utilizes 1 processor.

Before using the GTS on the dual system, I used a Leadtek Geforce 256DDR Rev. B with DX8 / Detonator V.12.0 on Win2k and got 1700's.

The reason I say that you should see better score is that you have a faster processor than my dual CPU system. My T-Bird @ 1.4Ghz 384MB PC-133 with Garnet GTS (DX8 / Detonator V.12.0) on Win2k scores 4350 on 3Dmark2001.

3DMark scores are effected mostly by CPU clock speed and video card speed... And better scores can be seen on Win98 Vs. Win2k...

    Ok, I re-installed Win2K SP2 DX8a with the 11 denonator drivers and got

    3289 3D marks...

    ah much better.

I guess it was because I had a Radeon VE installed in my system before....

What is the "default" score that you can get with a GeForce mx in 3dmark2001?

    This is my system:

    Thunderbird 1.2
    Gigabyte 7zx-1 m/b
    256 PC133 Ram
    20gb hd
    Elsa GeForce mx400 64mb
    Sound Blaster Live
    dvd/cdrw Toshiba combo
    etc..

    I get 3dmark2001:

    1024x768x32 the default test: 2300 3dmarks
    800x600x32 : 3269

Are these scores right or can I increase them a little?

Imperion1 - Could you post the link for 12.60 drivers?

Hey eagle1. If u have a Geforce MX card, u should get a score around 2000 to 2500 without any overclocking. However if u try different drivers and do some overcloking. U probably can get higher score. Go to this website http://www.gamers-ammo.com/ to get the latest detenator drivers.
Try 10.80 or 12.41 if u using Win 98. 12.41 works fine for my WIN ME. Install the VIA 4 in 1 if u have a VIA motherboard. It helps a lot too.
At the gammer ammo website, under tweak files, get the NVMAX , or Powerstrip for overclocking ur card. I'm using Leadtek Geforce2 MX card and I was managed to increase my core to 200 and memory 200. Try go slowly...like 3-5 everytime. If ur system crash or lockup, just reboot machine and bring it back a little bit. U should see a better improvement after then.
