    Few questions.

    Hello all,
Got some questions I hope you'll be able to answer. I bought a Mach V system from Falcon-NW and have some Q's about benchmarking. My specs are as follows.

    Athlon 1.4

    Asus A7M266

    256 PC2100

    ATX case w/ 300watt PS

    IBM 60XP 20GB HD

    VisionTek GeForce 3 w/12.41 drivers O/C @ 210/485

    Sony 52X CD-ROM

    Plextor 12x10x32 CDRW

    SBL Value

    D-Link Ethernet

    U.S Robotics PCI 3Com modem

    Windows ME

Now when I run 3DMARK 2001 at default I get a score anywhere from 5663 to 5684. I was told that the difference should only be about 5 points but mine is up to 21. Is this normal? Nothing is running in the background so thats not it. Also is 5684 a normal score for this system? In UT timedemo I recieve an average frame rate of 89fps with everything on high and 1024x768x32 resolution, again is this a good average? Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hahahaha..
    sorry I'm laughing.!!
It's just that your score is great.. It is up there for a GeForce 3.! (Have a look at some 3dmark scores in a thread here.!!!)
If UT gives only 89fps, maybe it is because you have Vsync off in the video card properties or something.!!

    LOL with eagle1
You "score" pretty high, if you ask me ... but in UT - I'm sure eagle1 meant "VSync ON", coz then you won't get more fps then your monitor's refresh rate. Turn VSync "OFF" in drivers preferences to play at max fps possible.

    Best Regards ...

You got to hand it to those boys at Falcon, they know how to build a system.

Yep!! They do make good systems! I remember their first systems with the Voodoo accelerator!!

Wow! And they still cost like $3000 to 4000!

Your score is right where it should be. I wouldn't be complaining. I only scored a 5609.
