anyone else have a computer that seems horribly out of date?

If your system serves your needs fine, just ignore those benchmark scores. On the other hand, if you're system isn't meeting your needs, time for upgrade!

Get a Slot A, I don't have a clue why I am getting benchmarks like this. Sure makes the overclocked 850 look good.

Yeah, I've seen outrageous benchmarks like that on certain mainboards. I've seen this on mainboards with Intel 850 and ALi ALiMAGiK1(1647/1535D+) chipset based mainboards. His T-Bird 1Ghz scores over 12000+ on Drystone ALU which was hard for me to believe since my Dual P3 @ 935Mhz scores only about 5100. Perhaps it has something to do with the chipset???
