    Web Site Creation

    I have a computer store and need to make a web site for it. I dont need anything special, Its just people come into a computer store and expect you to have a web site. I need to know where to get started. i have frontpage 2000 it that will work,unless theres a better proggie. I dont know HTML and dont have a lot of time to spend working on it. I have a domain name registered and have a server to put it on, i just need to make it. Where should i get started. I would like to use a program that has some pretty good templates and some good pictures already in it because i dont want (or really know how or have time) to make Logos and stuff like that. Do you know if any sites with templates or images i can download and use. i dont want it to look cheesy like some geocities and homestead sites, but i do want it to be basic and simple. Just tel what we do, locatins nd directions, how much we charge and stuff like that.

    If you want I will try and come up with a design for you.

    I may not be as experienced as some, but the more websites I build the more experience I get.

    let me know

    this is the email i sent to edewlly:

    Thanks for you help top start with..

    I just want something small, mostly for ease of updating since i dont really have a lot of time to play with it. What i would like to have is something with about 4-6 pages and have our logo at the top of each. The name of the business is Oconee computer Center and our sign out front is in big red letters so i would like to stick with that. I basically want the site so i will have something to put on my business cards. I hust needs to tell about us and what we do. Say a page for that, then one that has our location with directions and a little about us. Then mabey another page with what kind of specials we have at the moment and our standard prices. I would also like to have a place to put some pictures. (I have a really cool emachines eOne that i turned into a planter-the imac clone) Mabey another page that has some of our used stuff. I would alos like to put some prices for some other stuff like routers and modems and sound cards and stuff like that. The truth i!
    s i really dont know what i want. I have never done a web site before and dont really know where to start. So things that i have seen that i would like to incorporate onto my page are things like pop up windows for some of our specials and the same background that doesnt scrool when you scroll down the page. (you know what i mean?) also i like the way some site have links to the other parts of their sites on the left side of the page that also scrolls down when you do?

    Any suggestions?

    Telephone #: 706-227-9666
    FAX: 706 369 0550
    email: mdoke@bellsouth.net
    after i get the site up im gonna set up and exchange server and a domain and all those goodies to get the mdoke@oconeecomputer.com

    * also put that we have wireless networks*

    I would also like virus removal mentioned

    Ummm.. we buy, sell and trade used computers and equiment.

    Another suggestion is that you will need images (& thumbnails) of these products (and specials) you have... it's not required, but it helps to make it look more like a true website, as opposed to something that someone just slapped together in 5 minutes. You can even swipe some small images off another computer site (or the products' sites) if you need... obviously people don't go around creating their own images of products already out there.
