Dreamweaver, frontpage, notepad, emacs.... depends on what you are wanting to do, and how much HTML experience you have. Want freeware, or do you have an idea about how much you are willing to spend? More information please.....

I personally develop the majority of my work with MicroSoft FrontPage, then quickly clean the code up through maunal editing with a standard text editor. However, I usually do not have to deal with anything but standardized HTML and JavaScript anyway.

    In my opinion:

    WYSIWYG editors: Dreamweaver, Fireworks

HTML hand-code editors: Homesite (ColdFusioN Studio), 1st Page 2000

ive tried all those programs you all mentioned and i didnt really like them, i happened to stumble upon a 30 day free ware that i liked so much that i bought the full version - when you buy it you can dl it offline and recieve a copy on cd in the mail its about $40+ i think i dont remember

i'll sell you mine for $20 if you want, its the original cd in original package, only installed once, no scratches etc :-p hey its better than buying the full version

Ok. JCoulter sits next to me in computer class. He is just asking questions and doesn't plan to act on almost anything you tell him. Sorry dude but you're just wasting their time.
