    ASP question

1)How can I create a menu like this with ASP (Not with PHP)that sends the results to a database? I'm using Dreamweaver Ultradev 4 which might make it easier.

2)How can I detect cheaters (people who rate the same site more than X number of times or so) I know there is a way to retrieve the IP using ASP but how do I link this to the above rate for a certain site?

    You really can't, kinda sorta.

You can trap IP and track that, but 90%(swag) of users most likely have dynamic IP addresses, so blocking 10% isn't much help. Plus, even with static IPs, some people have access to hundreds/thousands of IPs.

You could enforce a one vote per user rule, but unless you already support users, you will force people to become a user, this may make the voting not worth their time. Also, how do you stop one person from becoming 65784 users?

At the very least limit voting to one vote per ASP session, this will stop the easily blatant cheat.

You could also use Cookies, and while they aren't always the best way of stopping cheaters, it would make it a lot harder to cheat!
