    Setting Up A Webserver

Ok, so I'm attempting (note attempting!) to set up a small webserver (testing purposes only for now) on my Windows 98 box using LiteServe as sudgested by another Sysopt user. So far I can do all BUT cgi scripts.. Some I can get to work, such as a formmailer, but others i need to set permissions (chmod 755, etc.) How do i do this in windows? I've tried opening up a "perl" window and entering the command, but doesn't seem to do anything.

Well if you would like to run Apache on Windows
http://instantservers.com/ I use this for one of my servers and it works great. Plus you can try it out for free and they even will give you a sub-domain for free during the eval time!

You might want to try this .
I have used it for a few days and it says it will let you but I dont use them yet so I dont know. Plus it also allows ftp access and you can setup accounts for who ever.
