What Web Publishing software do ya like??

    I use MS FP2000,
I hear Adobe's GoLive is pretty cool (can't afford it for now )
Any thoughts on the software you like and use
and/or wish to add to your toolbox?

I also use FP2000. I cant really comment since FrontPage versions are all I have ever used. It serves my purpsose. Someday I may venture into something more advanced. I cant seem to get the hang of HTML. Not to any decent level.

I use Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, Flash 5, and Fireworks 4 for my more intense sites. Still use good old notepad for most of my non-graphix intensive development.

    Arachnophilia

Price: The author asks you to quit complaining for 1 day. Most of us live in the only country where the number one health problem is getting too much to eat. He's right.

    What it does for me:

    1) HTML code turns blue when typed correctly. Objects, like URLS turn green. Mistakes cause all the code beyond that point to turn into some color known only to women and interior decorators. Fuscia? Magenta? Mauve? Heck if I know.

    2) The Search & Replace funtion counts what it replaces. If you change 28 "href=... objects from a website to your hard drive, and each has a .gif button associated with it, you can verify that you also Replaced 28 "img src=... with your local drive info.

    3) Easy macros. I have mine trained to generate the code for H3, Green font when I type Alt-G. Alt-Z, two br's. Alt-B, one br.
If I had a complaint about this, it would be that I only get one set of macros. It would be nice to have one for the SCUBA site, one for the amateur radio site, etc.

I use FP2000 for the most part. SLOOOOOWLY learning Flash, Golive and Dreamweaver. One of the things I love about FP2000 is how I can manage my website from anywhere without having to have a CD or zip with all my website files on it.

I mainly use Dreamweaver for websites, and I also use Photoshop for the graphics. Adobe GoLive is alright though.

I also like to use Dreamweaver over anything, all though I have been using Microsoft FP 2000.

Allaire Homesite is the professional way to go for Windows. Although sites can look good done with Dreamweaver and GoLive, they don't teach you how to code by hand.

Textpad and Notepad are the cheap alternatives.

I also use and prefer Arachnophilia 4.0, I think for the price it beats alot of those other apps.
