    Samsung 52X..Good Drives???Help

    I am on the tip of purchasing a samsung 52X drive(for $34). I currently have a 44X BTC. What are samsung's like. Are they quiet.

    I think you should look here for CDROM's capabilities.

    Are you going to rip audio with it? If yes, make sure the drive to buy is somewhere in the list above for DAE.

    Samsung drives are rated pretty high. They have a low failure rate. I've had a Samsung burner for about a year and am real happy with it.

    I use both a Samsung 52X and an LG 52X and personally, I found the LG to be much quieter.

    Hi all just a fair warning do not buy the creative cd rom blaster 52X. my samsung 40X does a faster read measured at 35X ver creative 7X. I have since replaced the new cd rom blaster 52X with my old 40X drive. All my problems went away. dont buy creative
