Redesigning the hard drive *INPUT PLEASE*
Hey guys,
After noticing the way computers were headed and following the rule that you're only as strong as your weakest link, I found that the weak link in computers these days is becoming the primitive nature of the hard drive.
Mechanically driven, the actuators can only move fast and with clock speeds rising I see no way for hard drives to be able to deliever information quickly enough.
Basically what I'm saying is that I wanted to know if anyone has any "news" or ideas or predictions as to the future of large-scale storage will go?
Will is be magnetic? Mechanical? What do you think? The future awaits!
