    Thanks Dave I was afraid I would Have to get a controller card or trade the drive.

    There will be absolutely no difference in performance between ATA66 and ATA100 interfaces!

    ATA-100 on an ATA-66

    Will an ATA-100 7200 rpm harddrive work on a motherboard rated for ATA-66?

    Yes it wil work fine. It will be slightly slower, but not much. There is little difference between ATA33 - ATA66 - AA100.
